The assembly is Kid friendly! All home schoolers are welcomed. We provide signing for the hearing impaired. Special music will be provided by Moses Uvere, Christian rap artist; Garland Christian Academy and Worship Pastor Kynsie Hankins Zakem of Church in the City.
The Garland National Day of Prayer is affiliated with the National Day of Prayer Task Force. For the last four years Dorothy Brooks has served as coordinator and has been assisted by Wandra Johnson and Moses Uvere. For many years, Sandra Dinkins served as Coordinator and initiated many of the contacts we still hold dear. This year, we are pleased to announce the participation of additional churches including Lavon Drive Baptist and Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer. We look forward to larger participation this year.
The United States was born in prayer and founded on a relationship with God while instituting His biblical principles and moral values. The National Day of Prayer Task Force seeks to:
•Foster unity within the Christian Church, reaching/including ALL denominations.
•Protect America's constitutional Freedoms to gather, worship, pray and speak freely.
•Encourage and emphasize prayer, regardless of current issues and positions.
•Be wise stewards of God's resources and provision. MOST IMPORTANTLY to: Glorify the Lord in word and deed.
The Garland NDP is a powerful point of influence in calling all citizens to pray for our leaders to seek Godly wisdom for ruling according to the Constitution, that we might live quiet and tranquil lives under God's Grace.
