About Garland National Day of Prayer
We are the Judeo-Christian expression of the National Day of Prayer which was established in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The United States was born in prayer and founded on a relationship with God while instituting His biblical principles and moral values.
In accordance with biblical truths, the National Day of Prayer Task Force seeks to:
Foster unity within the Christian Church, reaching/including ALL denominations.
Protect America's constitutional Freedoms to gather, worship, pray and speak freely.
Publicize and preserve America's Christian heritage.
Encourage and emphasize prayer, regardless of current issues and positions.
Be wise stewards of God's resources and provision. MOST IMPORTANTLY to: Glorify the Lord in word and deed.

The Garland NDP has been chaired by Sandra Dinkins since its inception. She and her husband Hart have been courageous and consistent prayer warriors and financial, emotional and wise supporters. This is the third year Dorothy Brooks has coordinated. Wandra Johnson and Moses Uvere are valuable leaders.

The Garland National Day of Prayer is a powerful point of influence in calling all citizens to pray for our leaders to seek Godly wisdom for ruling according to the Constitution, that we might live quiet and tranquil lives under God's Grace.

On Thursday, May 3, 2018 we will assemble at 11:30 A.M. in the Atrium to pray together. This year's theme is Pray for America - Unity based on Ephesians 4:3 "Making every effort to keep the UNITY of the Spirit in the bound of peace."

You can read the national history of prayer, send in a prayer request, or purchase merchandise from the national website:
